
This Saturday at 12:25PM at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival the DUKES will be recording their set for the second straight year to go straight to CD to be titled, "Live at 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival". The recording will take place at the Peoples Health Economy Hall Tent at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.
The DUKES will be reeling out some new original music along with their own renditions of some of the best of: Duke Ellington, Louis Prima, Tom Waits, Jerry Lee Louis, The Big Bopper, as well as New Orleans own, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, & Huey "Piano" Smith
Munckmix handles all the DUKES recording, mixing, mastering, CD duplication for their Live @ Jazz Fest albums. Norwegian Peer Munck started Munckmix Records in Chicago with Christian Gero. They are best known as the ALLMAN BROTHERS traveling sound company, and recorded their last live show at the Beacon Theater in NYC in Oct 2014. They recorded the DUKES last live trad-jazz album in April 2014 at the New Orleans & Heritage Jazz Fest. They will be recording the DUKES again this year (2015) with a new sound and new music titled, the New NOLA Sound.
