“ The show went extremely well. Everyone was very pleased with the DUKES and the performance”.

"Thanks to Arts Council for Terrific Show!"

My daughter, son-in-law and I want to say a great big thank you to the Yuma Arts Council for bringing in the DUKES of Dixieland. This group was absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed every minute of the concert.

Yuma needs more of these types of shows.

JC Black, Yuma

"The DUKES performance was fantastic and the guys were so wonderful to work with".

Greetings, Friend(s).

Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had on the Steamboat Natchez last evening. I paid for a good part of my conservatory education by playing banjo in a Dixieland band (in central Jersey, of all places) during high school.

The sound is authentic and vibrant, yet with a contemporary twist. Every member of this ensemble is a superb soloist, the music selection was perfect for the sets they played, and there was an unanticipated bonus: Dick Van Dyke was on board and did a wonderful impromptu Sheik of Araby. Whatever you are paying these guys, it isn't half enough. I can tell you with some authority: This is the finest Dixieland Band anywhere in the world! We have wandered around the Vieux Carre and listened to what the locals call "traditional" NO jazz, and it's not. For the most part, it's the dreck you hear on the radio today. What the Dukes are purveying is the real thing, and it was obvious to me that the crowd on board reacted to hearing the real thing for the first time.

We made the cruise specifically to hear the Dukes of Dixieland. We have family in for a visit from Munich, Germany and they wanted to experience authentic NO jazz, and they got it by the boatload.

In our self-absorbed, narcissistic American pop scene, THANK YOU for what you are doing to help perpetuate an important epoch in American music history by supporting this incredible group.

With Best Regards,

~Les Fillmer

"Just a note to let you know we had a great experience last week when our Missouri State group took the Wednesday dinner cruise!!The dinner was very good and the DUKES OF DIXIELAND were fabulous! And they were the main drawing card for us taking the cruise."
- Jerry Hoover Dir. of Bands at Missouri State University May 29 2013

"THE DUKES of Dixieland....THE NEW ENERGIZER BUNNIES FOR SURE !!!"
- Jim Halsey Manager of The Oak Ridge Boys May 4 2013

"I didn't get a chance to say anything last night but wanted you to know the guys(DUKES) sounded great. I love the CD/DVD (Celebrating Satchmo) and will make sure to share it. I have to make sure and just share it in my house! I don't want to lose my copy!"
-B. From the Steamboat Natchez New Orleans, LA. April 26 2013

"Superbowl @ Mardi Gras 2013 is a stunning album exploring all the musical roots of Louisiana (and not only jazz) showing how that wonderful band can really play anything and do it very well indeed. I immediately started playing the CD in my radio show of American roots music at Radio Voce Spazio!"
- M.F. Radio Voce Spazio, Italy. April 27, 2013

"The Dukes were terrific. Their timing was spot on, their solos were amazing and they were just really nice guys. I am sure you know that you have a winning group in these Dukes.

My son Danny, remembers being on the Natchez when he was three and the Dukes were playing. He introduced himself to the trumpet player and the whole group was really nice to him. They told him that they either knew of his dad or had at some time, played music with him. The leader asked Danny what song he would like to hear that he remembered from his childhood. He asked for Bourbon Street Parade. He was very excited.

My mom and sister just sat there with goofy grins on their faces. They had seen the Dukes many times in the 1980. I could hardly sit in my chair. I wanted to get up and Second Line so badly. Thanking you seems a little anemic compared to the joy, happiness and fond memories you stirred in my family last night, but thank you for the wonderful time"

- P.R. New Orleans LA, March 11, 2013

- CS, Woodinville, WA, 2011

"The music was fantastic and the guys were very entertaining. I kept trying to figure out how old the piano player was, he looked so young to be playing as he did! And the deep baritone cello player was awesome but then again they all were."
- LH, Seattle, 2011

"This band is extremely talented and can get the audience moving. They are all real gentlemen and are great when interacting with the patrons. I would work with them again anytime."
- Lyric Theatre, Stuart/FL Proscenium/500 seats

"Wow, what a fantastic way to spend our last evening. My daughter and I were down to NOLA for the International Rotary Conference at the end of May, 2011. She plays in a band and we both love jazz. We had the gift of spending an evening cruise on board the Natchez, a beautiful evening, a special evening. The weather was warm, but the breeze off the water—perfect. The Dukes of Dixieland , led by Kevin Clark was superb. What talent. Exquisite.

There were many Rotarians from around the globe; and undoubtedly—jazz may be a less familiar type of music. What a pleasure it was to watch so many catch fire and dance in their seats, some eventually getting up to dance. This is a truly gifted band, the best yet we have heard.

Cant’ wait to listen to all the CD’s we bought. Thanks for a delightful and unforgettable evening!

Warm regards from Minnesota."

- LL & BL, May, 2011

"What a great experience attending your concert in Sarasota this evening! We could see how you all enjoy your music and presentation. So uplifting. Listened to your CD all the way home (an hour away). Another hour of such enjoyment."
- MK, Sarasota, FL

Attended your show today. It was the best show we have attended at Ruth Eckerd. Your music is superb, "happy" music. I left there on a cloud after purchasing one of your 4-cd packages. We certainly hope that you will play the Ruth Eckerd venue again.
- DM, Clearwater, FL

"Just left the concert and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it. We've seen the Dukes many times over the last several years including twice on the Natchez and this is the tightest we've ever heard them. While we miss Everett, Errol, and especially Dickie, this current group is solid. And the wider range of music genre made the evening pass much too quickly.

Our thanks again for a great evening. And we join in your loss of Dickie Taylor."

- RW, Connecticut

"The DUKES are very emotional and seem possessed by their music, but still having fun. A delight to hear & see. It was unfortunate that we had to turn away so many people in a sold out audience."
- City of Aguascalientes, Mexico

"The DUKES were wonderful! Thanks for making this a memorable performance for our community?"
- SP, Town of Cary (Raleigh), NC

"The DUKES put on a great show!"
- The Sertoma Club, Bowdon, GA
