The DUKES of Dixieland performed at the Grand Opening of the Hyatt Place Hotel across from the New Orleans Convention Center on April 18, 2012. The grand opening of the new Warehouse District hotel was a reason for celebration for the University of New Orleans. At the Tuesday ribbon cutting of the Hyatt Place New Orleans Convention Center, UNO’s Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration received a $3,000 scholarship from Hyatt Place.
